What Blendline is
Blendline is a practice tool for DJs. It analyzes tracks in your browser, suggests transitions, and lets you record and save your own. Tempo, key, phrase and transition results are estimates, so trust your ears.
Your music and your mixes
- You are responsible for the audio you load and for having the right to use it. Your audio files stay on your device and are never uploaded.
- The mix data you save (cue points, moves, tracklists and names) stays yours. You give us permission to store it and show it back to you so the service can work.
Accounts
- An account is optional. You need one only to save mixes to the cloud and sync them across devices.
- Keep access to your email or Google account secure, because anyone who can sign in with it can reach your saved mixes.
- You must be at least 13 to create an account.
- You can delete your account at any time with the Delete my account button. This cannot be undone.
Profiles
- Your profile is public. Use a username, pictures and bio you have the right to use, and that don't impersonate anyone else.
- No offensive, sexual or violent pictures, and no contact details that aren't yours. Anyone signed in can report a profile; after three reports its pictures and bio are hidden until a moderator reviews them, and moderators may clear them.
Sharing on Explore
- Explore posts are public. Share your own work, label the tracks honestly, and keep titles and tips about the music.
- A person's first two posts are reviewed by a moderator before they appear. Anyone signed in can report a post, and moderators may hide or delete posts and block accounts from posting.
- Recording links may only point to YouTube, SoundCloud, Mixcloud, Instagram or TikTok, and must be to recordings you have the right to share.
Copyright and takedowns
Blendline hosts short audio clips of blends that people mix and choose to share. Only share mixes of music you are allowed to use. We respect copyright and respond to valid notices.
- To report infringement, use the Copyright option on the post's Report button, or email rd0949017@gmail.com with: the post's link, the work you own, your contact details, a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized, a statement that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for them, and your physical or electronic signature.
- We remove or disable access to material identified in a valid notice and let the poster know.
- If your post was removed by mistake, you can reply with a counter-notice to the same address.
- Accounts that repeatedly share infringing material are closed.
Comments and reactions
- Comments on DJ sets are public. Be friendly and keep it about the music.
- No harassment, hate speech, threats, sexual content, spam, advertising, links, or other people's private information.
- Comments are filtered automatically, anyone signed in can report a comment, and moderators may hide or delete comments and block accounts from commenting, at their discretion.
- You are responsible for what you post. You can delete your own comments at any time.
Acceptable use
Please don't misuse Blendline. That includes trying to access other people's data, disrupting or overloading the service, using automated tools to create accounts or store unrelated data, or using it to break the law.
Free tracks and artist photos
The free tracks offered in the mixer were released by their artists under Creative Commons licences and are hosted by Wikimedia Commons. Each one is listed with its artist, licence and source. Artist photos on DJ sets come from Wikimedia Commons and are credited on each card with their author and licence. If you reuse a track or photo elsewhere, follow its licence. If you are a rights holder and think something is here by mistake, contact us and we will remove it.
Charts, sets and links
The House Top 30 and DJ sets pages show information from third parties, including Beatport and community tracklist sites, and link to recordings on other services. That content belongs to its owners, may be inaccurate or go out of date, and is not controlled by Blendline. Blendline is not affiliated with those services.
Availability and changes
Blendline is provided free of charge and may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued at any time. We may limit how much can be saved to an account and may suspend accounts that misuse the service. Saved mixes are synced for convenience and are not a guaranteed backup.
No warranty
Blendline is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. Don't rely on it as your only preparation for a live performance.
Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Blendline and the people who run it are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost data, or lost income arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the law that cannot be limited.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Blendline after a change means you accept the updated terms.
